The NHS Stammering Network held a hugely successful stammering awareness event for the NHS online on International Stammering Awareness Day. With 132 attendees, this has been the biggest stammering event in the history of the NHS. Attendees from across NHS Trusts included adults who stammer, NHS and equality professionals, SLTs, parents of children who stammer. It was an opportunity to find out more about stammering. to share lived experiences and to find out more about how to support those who stammer, including colleagues, patients or members of the public. The NHS Stammering Network acknowledge the significant support from the Dominic Barker Trust for the network and the research by Dr Vaughan Parsons (and funded by us) that led to the creation of the Network.
